DroneVue Imaging’s Chief Pilot Stephen P. Sweeting, MA, MRICS, trained as a Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) operator through Le Centre québécois de formation aéronautique (CQFA), a national aviation school in Quebec. This robust 130-hour ground and flight school program is regarded as one of the best and most complete Small UAV pilot training courses in Canada.

Ground school and flight training was supplemented with further live and online UAV courses at CQFA as well as Humber College’s UAV image capture course.  Mr. Sweeting holds a Standing Special Flight Operations Certificate for Ontario. He is a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), accredited as a Chartered Surveyor specializing in appraisals. As well, he is a principal of Appraisal Associates, a Toronto valuations firm in business for 24 years.

DroneVue’s Visual Observers and other crew all conform to Transport Canada’s role requirements. They work with the Pilot-in-Command using Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safe and professional drone flights.
